wolsley.

Wolseley had an idea for a TV ad based on the old show “The Professionals”, showcasing them as the “Heating Professionals”.

The ad had to be fun and energetic and even featured some acrobatic prowess from our talent to help hark back to the good old days of crime drama in the late 70's.

All shot in a day at a Wolseley unit.

Conceptualisation & Creative Development

Behind the scenes for the filming of the Wolsley TVC

The brief arrived with a clear creative hook, “The Professionals” and the challenge was honouring that reference without it becoming a fancy dress job.

The acrobatic sequence was central to the concept from early on. It needed to feel like a genuine callback to the practical, physical stunt work of 70s television. The Wolseley unit as a location gave us a real working environment.

Shoot planning

With a full production team on set; director, 1st AD, DOP, sound, gaffer, art department, and the Wolseley clients, the day before the shoot was as important as the shoot itself. A dedicated recce with myself and the gaffer gave us the time to walk every setup, plan the lighting rig properly, and make sure that when the crew arrived on shoot day we weren't solving problems, we were executing a plan.
