go montgenevre.

Go Montgenevre are a ski holiday brand based out in the French alps. They brought us in for a really exciting opportunity to showcase what they offer their clients and what a day in the life of one of their customers could look like while on holiday.

The main highlights that this film needed to cover was how these holidays can bring families together, provide excitement on the slopes and relaxation back at the chalet. All while showing off the beautiful landscapes that can be found in Montgenevre.

Conceptualisation & Creative Development

Dan Atkins and crew on set with Go Montgenevre

Go Montgenevre wanted to capture how families can re-connect in the alps, showcasing how each member can experience and enjoy the mountains in their own unique way - whether it's the thrill of skiing down the slopes, savouring French cuisine in the intimate restaurant, or unwinding in the cosy warmth of a chalet.

In collaboration with Ben from Go Montgenevre and through multiple ideation meetings, we brainstormed and started to list out key shots that would tell this story. To enhance the emotional depth of the film, we aimed to bring a touch of romance into the imagery. This vision influenced our final look and colour grade, opting for a dreamy, soft aesthetic to evoke a sense of nostalgia.

Shoot Planning & Storyboarding

Our next steps involved sourcing a family to feature in the film and developing a more detailed shot list, breaking down each shot within our scenes. Fortunately, Go Montgenevre’s strong connections with their clients proved invaluable. They put the word out through their social channels, and sure enough, we found a family eager to be involved and become the stars of our video project.

With the shot list finalised and our family on board, Ben stepped up as producer, expertly organising our three shoot days into specific time slots. He coordinated our movement from location to location, ensuring we stayed on schedule and maximised what we could capture within a relatively tight timeframe.
